Summer-like weather with highs near 80 degrees for the Bronx

Here’s what you need to know:
  • It’s mild, calm and mostly sunny this morning with temperatures in the upper 50s to mid-60s.
  • Today will be another summer-like day with highs in the upper 70s, near 80 degrees.
  • The dry weather continues this week with limited chances of rain. A cold front will move through our area Wednesday night into Thursday cooling temperatures down to the 60s and bringing a low chance of a passing morning shower. If we receive no measurable rainfall this week, we won't see any rain until November. This will put us in the top 5 for the longest dry streak so far for the fall season since the 1800s. Drought conditions are expected to worsen if this pattern persists into November. This week temperatures tumble from the 80s to the 60s and overnight lows will be in the 40s/50s.
  • WATCHING THE TROPICS: Tropical Storm Oscar will continue to bring flooding rain and high winds to the southeast parts of the Bahamas though tomorrow. Tropical Storm Oscar will continue to move Northeast not posing any threat to land/ U.S. Stay tuned for updates.
